My training and approach
I am a fully qualified and insured psychotherapeutic counsellor, dedicated to supporting women through the transformative journey of motherhood.
My professional foundation was built at the Connexus Institute in Hove, where I completed my Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling in Transactional Analysis. This rigorous training involved three years of academic study alongside extensive clinical placement hours, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of how our past experiences and relationships shape our present challenges.
Beyond my private practice, I've gained valuable experience as a perinatal counsellor within the NHS, working with expectant and new parents during some of their most vulnerable moments. I've also served as a bereavement volunteer for a local hospice, supporting individuals through grief and loss.
My commitment to providing the best possible care means I continually invest in further professional development, with ongoing supervision and specialized training under the guidance of renowned maternal mental health expert and psychotherapist, Dr. Emma Haynes.
To ensure I maintain the highest professional standards, I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the United Kingdom Association of Transactional Analysis (UKATA), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA).
This solid foundation allows me to offer a warm, empathetic approach that combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with practical strategies to help you navigate motherhood with greater awareness, confidence, and joy.
